Colorado Whiskey
Whiskey is one of the most popular alcoholic drinks in the world. Its production started in Scotland. But, because of its immense popularity, it is now being produced in many parts of the world besides Scotland. It is being produced in many parts of United States for more than a century. One of the newest producer of whiskey of this country is now located in Colorado.
It is a small sized distillery established by two persons George Stranahan and Jess Graber in Denver, Colorado and it started production from 2004. Their whiskey is produced by using barley produced in the Rocky Mountains and uses water from the streams flowing in these mountains. Their whiskey is known as Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey. It is the first of a new category whiskey known as Rocky Mountain Straight Whiskey.
It is a 94 proof (47% alcohol by volume), small-batch bourbon whiskey. Uniqueness of their product is that each of their bottles are personally signed by the bottler and describes what he was doing while bottling whiskey, like what song they were listening to at that time.
They produce only three barrels of whiskey and their bottles cost around $50 and so it is not very costly if you want to give this whiskey a try.
