Initially, Canadian cocktails were considered as a morning beverage, since the name Cock has been prefixed to the word tail. Initially this drink meant as “the first light of the day”. The entire perception of this drink has been associated with the Cock who crows early in the morning. Another aspect which associates the drink with this bird is, the bright and colorful feathers. While some prefer to garnish this drink with its feathers, while the rest prefer to garnish it with fruits such as cherry and olives.
