Boilermaker: Beer Cocktails

The Boiler maker is a kind of beer cocktail consisting of some whisky, tequila and vodka. Traditionally the beer is served separately in the pub glass, while the tequila or the martini is served in a shot glass.

Therefore sometimes this cocktail is often called the boilermaker or the shooting cocktails. However this cocktail had become quite popular during the ’70s and the ’80s. However this cocktail does not tend to lose its popularity because of its strong intoxicating effects, since it consists many ingredients like the beer, vodka and tequila.

However there are many ways of having the boilermaker or the shooting cocktails. The most traditional way to have it is first gulp down the vodka or the martini followed by the beer. However this is mostly desired by the folks all over, since it has a greater potential to intoxicate them. Another way of consuming the boiler maker is to pour all the vodka or the martini into the beer, immediately gulping it down.

Another way of having the boilermaker is to drop the shot glass into the beer mug. This has to be dropped just from the surface of the beer mug, causing some violent carbonization and which has to be immediately consumed, leaving the shot glass in the beer mug.
